A Silver teapot with shell motifs and lambrequin Louis XIV style.Mastermark Jan de Vries, he was active in Amsterdam from 1710 until 1752.Marks: Lion province Holland, weapon of Amsterdam, year about 1730.Although this type teapot is reguarded as typical Haarlems, it is also frequently produced in Amsterdam and Friesland.Louis XIV ornaments were very popular in the first halve of the 18 th century in the Netherlands.The teapot is height 16 cm, wide 20 cm (from handle to spout), weight 290 gram, Sterling silver 930/1000 in mint condition.If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!
