Antique Early or Mid Century Primitive Rustic Wooden Vanity - Jewelry Box With Mirror

Measures 12\" long x 6\" wide x 3-1/4\" high.

Metal brass accents on top and front. Sides have thin metal handles. Inside has a pink felt lining that was probably added later. It doesn\'t appear to match the original design. Top lid has a green plastic or Bakelite framed mirror and a padded, green printed fabric lining. Please review my photos. Especially of the wood. This box appears to be very old, although still beautiful!

Researched and could not find another exactly like it. Perhaps it was custom made for someone. The lock is there but there\'s no key. Looks like there was a latch or hook to go over the shackle to lock it. But it\'s missing. Box has surface wear and a few scratches, but no cracks. It has pin nails construction. Looking very closely, there\'s a name, signed in pencil on the bottom. \"Marion Maurer?\"
