Antique Early Victorian 1840-60 Era ring 14k yellow, diamonds enamel Star sz 5+:

This ring is very delicate and the gold band is solid (and at least 14kt. if not 18 kt. gold). The top star of diamonds set in silver in what looks to be enamel or jet or even a vulcanite type material (it is worn and pitted) is just very old looking ! It has an interesting setting where the top round has been attached to the round band in a different sort of way than is usual. The stones have been tested as diamonds, a very old cut. There are six diamonds, one is whiter than the others. This ring is a size 5 plus some space near the top, please see the pictures ! The pictures also explain better the wear of the ring as there are a couple of flaws in this very old setting, one on the bezel of the stone, another under the top. There are no maker\'s marks.
