I have up for sale a wonderful Antique circa 1880s Reading Hardware Co WINDSOR pattern Doorbell and matching lever. This is a True Vintage Original Item, not a remake. I do not know exactly how the internal parts are supposed to work , so the set is being sold AS IS either for restoration or parts.
The bell is in Outstanding Cosmetic Condition - the face is exceptional as you can see, no damages and wear is most meager. The internal parts of the bell are shown but to be honest I do know if something is missing or how the bell is activated. It seems to be missing something , I am just not sure what, maybe some sort of tension wires ?
The lever has lots of wear, some rust and very old weathered paint.
I am selling the items just as they are shown in the pics, I have noted that I do not understand the functional internal parts and am selling it AS IS.
ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics.

YOU WOULD BE REQUIRED TO HELP WITH THE INSURANCE CLAIM . SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING ,PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX , AND OF THE DAMAGED ITEM WOULD BE REQUIRED. WITHOUT THESE PICS, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND IF I CAN NOT PROCESS THE CLAIM - YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE. I PACKAGE TO THE VERY BEST OF MY ABILITIES BUT SOMETIMES THINGS HAPPEN THAT ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL.
