A beautiful antique Titanic era silk daytime dress of Ivory silk brocade withan eau de nil stripe and silver wreaths of flowers.
The dress has a lace modesty panel and matching guipure lace sleeves.
The deign of the dress is interesting and thoughtful. It has a dropped waist and an underskirt, the shape to the bodice and waist is formed with tucks and pleats- the whole style is asymetrical. The dress has a part lined underskirt which a panel to the front and back sit over the top of. There is an oversized bow to one side with interior support (the silk lining has shattered here) and a sash.
This is a \'thoroughly modern\' dress, gone is the boning and under layers of the victorian era, this dress has an intergral net bodice that closes to the front with hooks and eyes and is sewn to the the wide elastic waist band which closes at the front of the waistline where the bodice and slip meet. The underskirt is attached to the waistband and closes to one side with poppas.
The dress is beautifully made and has the makers label \'Cummings, St Louis\' sewn into the waistband.

The dress is in very good condition, the silk is unmarked, although it is begining to shatter on the folds at the waistline and on the shoulders as seen in the photos. The Bow to one side looks to have been slightly reworked.

The dress measures;

Bust- 40 inches/ 102 cm

Waist- 35 inches/ 89 cm

Sleeve (from pit to cuff)- 9.5 inches/ 24 cm
Hip- 40 inches/ 102 cm cm

Length - 53 inches/ 135 cm

I love to combine postage and I am happy to ship worldwide, offering both standard and signed for services.

Your order will be sent packaged with the utmost care using recyclable packaging where possible. I post items Monday to Friday and I try to post as much as possible the same day, but this is only a guaranteed service for purchases made before 12 pm GMT. I charge a small fee of £0.50 for packaging costs which is included in the postage price.

Any taxes incurred at customs are the responsibility of the buyer as are any extra insurances beyond that of the chosen courrier service. I will only write the true value of goods on customs slips.

Please note the date and cost of postage on the stamp and do not hold me responsible for any postal costs or delays that are due to Royal Mail and therefore outwith my control and not on my part.
