Circa late 1800s, this gorgeous romantic necklace is set with 22 natural deep purple-hued amethyst stones set in shiny sterling silver collets. The open back amethyst cabochons each have a different hue showing their natural color. Very likely of European origin, the necklace closes with a hidden slide clasp hallmarked sterling. A true classic. 16 1/2 inches long and lovely.
