Pierced sterling silver pepper shaker in the Edwardian taste with cobalt glass liner by William Aitken, Birmingham. The date code is for 1900, the year before the start of King Edward\'s reign. Inside of cap has gold gilt finish.

SIZE: About 3 1/2\" tall. Base diameter is 1 5/16\".

MARKS: English hallmarks on main body. Silver standard ~ Lion Passant for Sterling 925, Anchor for Birmingham, Date Code for 1900 and maker\'s mark for William Aitken. Punch for silver standard and date code are repeated on thecap.

CONDITION: Antique item. Just avery slight touch of unevennesson the lower portion of thecap that slides down over the top of the glass (possibly as made). Extremely hard to see, but I can feel it. Minuscule nick to the silver on the bottom edge. Glass is fine. PLEASE SCAN DOWN FOR ADDITIONAL PHOTOS.
