This is a fantastic English Brass Candle Holderwith a Iron Griffin / Beastie Handle.

TheCandle Holdermeasures just under 6 inches in diameter at the bottomand stands 6 inches tall.

The top cup is 3 1/8 inches in diameter - with a 1 inch candle holder.

A really great applied iron handle - which extends about 3 inches at the top - featuring the face of a Griffin or some type ofBeast.

The piece is weighted by a very heavy-duty pierced iron circle at the bottom.

A few minor scratches commensurate with age.

This is a really handsome piece that I would date mid to late 1800\'s.
