Antique 1920\'s French black net trimedging with a lush embroidered design in metallic gold thread. The gold metallic embroidery is alarge Art Decopattern offloral roses in a repeating design.
Measurement:30”x 5\" wide
Embroidered area: 3 7/8\"deep
Color:Blackwith Gold Metallic
The black net trimdates to the 1920\'s and thepurchase came to me by the family of a NewYork couturier. All of her dress fabrics and embroideries came fromFrance.
Condition:The antique trim is unusedhowever has some faults.
This piece has some tarnish to thegold metallic embroidery and I would say that 1st 5 Art Deco patterns are adarker shade to the gold threads than the other remaining 5 Art Deco patterns. This isapproximately 15\" of the 30\" length.
Also, there is asmall black circular manufacturers mark fault to the net. This is at the12\" length approximately. Please see photos provided.
