Description: The backmarks on this beautiful, creamy white and gold-trimmed oyster plate tell its origins. Produced by CA France (Charles Ahrenfeldt) and bearing the factory\'s \"CA\" mark, we know it was made in Limoges, France. The remaining information in the backmark indicates the plate was distributed by Le Grand Depot, Paris. But the simple elegance of this plate is the main attraction. The low relief of the six oyster wells, the class gold trim and the soft, smoothness of the glaze combine to make a serving plate lovely to look at or display. Probably made around the turn of the century, its condition is excellent - no chips, cracks, dullness or signs of use. Very minor loss of gold trim that is not noticeable.
