Exceptional Antique Chinese Censer. Elegant form handmade in solid Silver with rare highly detailed pagota top, flowing pierced design arms and exceptional figural claw feet. Crafted well over 100 years ago by a master. Fine details include extensive linear patterns on arms and around top of base, incredible pagaota top with pierced railings and \"cubed\" posts, bamboo windows, traditional form doors, bells hanging on corners from stylized holders, sloping roof with alternating smooth and layers of silver \"tile\" leading up to multi tear point pinnacle. Removable pagota top with unique locking form of two tabs which inset into base and twist to secure the two pieces. Large WELL EXECUTED Chinese script horizontal aross front of body and extensive smaller chinese script in multiple columns at end of large script in vertical form (see photos). Excellent vintage condition with no scratches, dents or repairs and only a very minor pen point sized dot indent and does not go thru the silver (see small black dot in next to last photo). 2 tiny bells may be missing from pagota tips however four remain attached at the corners and the balance is good so we are unsure if there actually were any more attached. Patina is unshined, weighs 26 ounces of pure silver. Measures 13\" tall by 8\" wide, and is SIGNED (see photos) on the underside of the base via impressed script and additional symbol.
