ANTIQUE FRENCH BISQUE AUTOMATON SEATED MUSIC BOX DOLL SEWING PLAYS BLUE DANUBE :

This is a beautiful, Antique, I believe around late 1800\'s, French Bisque doll seated on a wood box covered with gold velvet which is atopa wood box covered in plum velvet. I found a photo of the marking that is on the back of her neck. The marking is of crossed arrows with an S under them.\"S with two arrows doll mark ca. 1885French automata doll maker unknown\" The doll, measures about 11\" in the seated position. Her music box plays Blue Danube. She is holding her embroidery in her left hand and the needle and thread in her right hand.

She has a Bisque head, wrist & hands and feet to knees. The rest of the arms and upper legs are wire.
She has inset brown glass eyes and a closed mouth
Her wig is Mohair.
She is wearing a Silk, tatted lacy wide brim bonnet with black Velvet ribbon. Her Silk dress is trimmed with French lace and also some tatting at the bodice and skirt area. There is black Velvet ribbon trim around the sleeves, neck, button and down the front. There is also a tatted lace bow on the back. I apolgize if \"Tatting\" is not the correct term.
This is a key-wound music box. I do not believe the key is removable.
As the music plays, her head turns and her hands move up and down. The needle is old and rough and has come loose. It looks like it was glued to her right hand as there is some discoloration to the palm. I have placed some masking tape on the hand for the photos. I will let the buyer decide what they wish to do. There is also some thread in the needle and it probably is not the original thread as a previousowner may have added it.
I have tried to capture her movements in my photos.
The platform measures 8 1/2\" front to back x 6 3/4\" wide x 2 1/4\" high
