Very stunning and ornate photo frame, dating to early 1900\'s. I\'m quite confident it\'s origin is France. Made of a silver tone metal and adorned with different styles of stones. It is missing the 4 corner stones and 4 smaller stones along the sides. Easy replacements, just depends on what you would want to put in their place, standard size flat backs. I have personally never replaced them, because I think it displays beautifully without them. The 4 oblong stones look like enameled glass stones. Looking at the round enamel stones under magnification they appear to be metal and done guilloche style. The frame stands firm when stood up, but the part that holds it up is a bit wobbly when it\'s not in use, I\'m not sure why, nothing appears broken or need of repair. It displays 8\" tall and 6\" at it\'s widest. The area that holds photo is 5 7/8\" tall x 4 1/2\" wide, has glass that measures the same. I am downsizing and selling things from my personal collections and have other jeweled items I will be listing if interested.
