These binoculars are in nice, working condition. They have a brass body that has some oxidation due to age. Eye pieces read: \"LeMaire FABt Paris”. It seems that LeMaire optical instruments were around during the 1860s to 1915 era. This pair looks very similar to others that have sold on online sales as Civil War era binoculars. I have also read that Lemaire\'s general style remained unchanged for several decades. I am not certain of the exact age of this pair.
