Antique French Solid Sterling SILVER Pierced Teapot SPOUT TEA STRAINER Basket :

This is alovely antique French solid silver tea strainer. This strainer is a bucketshape with a simple ribbon decoration around the sides. There is a handle tothe top, and a wire piece which fits in the spout of a teapot so when the tea ispoured the bucket catches the leaves. It is marked with the Minerva mark,although it is difficult to make out without great magnification. There is alsoa makers mark with what looks to be a diamond with four initials, possibly V,J, P & D.

Thisbeautiful spout tea strainer is approximately 2” in diameter and 1 1/8” tall.

There are no monograms, removals, repairs oralterations.

There are some dings that one would expect in a piece over 100years old.
