Delightful & rare complete five piece antique to vintage French sterling silver tete-a-tete or solitaire sized coffee & tea set with original matching silver plate tray, wonderful visual & decorative appeal AND all four hollow pieces with lovely little engraved royal CROWNS! Meant to be a service for one or two, hence the name and smaller sizes :). As elegant as a full sized French sterling set though with laurel bands around the bodies & rim of the tray, fluted tops & bottoms to the pots, etc. and solid wood, likely mahogany, handles. The tray, of course, is not sterling silver but original and matching and silver plate trays are quite common with these fine old sterling silver tea and/or coffee sets. The pots all bear the French Minerve or Minerva mark, the tiny number \"1\" within those marks means that they\'re all in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for \"sterling\" silver). The silversmith marks are for Gombert & Bibollet, Paris circa 1913-1924. A lovely little set, rare that it\'s complete and, with the crown motif, you can\'t go wrong!
Very good condition. There are a few \'spot\' bubbles on the silver plate tray but no losses on the top, just some wear through on the bottom of it. The taller coffee or hot water pot and the creamer each have one dent to the bottom edge but they stand steady. No other dents, dimples damage or repairs that I can see. The wooden handles have slightly different hues but they all appear original so it\'s likely due to age, moisture or wear to the varnish. See pictures for all individual weights and measurements.

Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is received (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge, when applicable, is a flat $35.00 in addition to actual postage & insurance charges.
