Antique French Louis XV Style Dore Bronze Inkwell by sculptor Jean Pierre Rambaud (1852-1893) for Susse Freres Paris @1870. @ 4\" tall. Classic Dore bronze inkwell of circular footed urn form with a domed hinged lid, the body with vertical ribbed sides and applied shells around the shoulder and a finial of back to back shells. Signed by the sculptor Rambaud on the side and stamped by the foundry Susse Freres and numbered 26H on the side of the base. Very slight bump on side of base. Lacks glass insert. Needs polishing but I will leave that up to the buyer. A beautiful 19th C. inkwell in the Classic French Style. SHI at cost. .
