Original antique French 18ct Rose Goldoval hardstone Cameo portraitEarrings,approx.15 x 12 mm,19 mm total length,with hinged front-fastening \'Dormeuses\' fittings.

The Cameo stones appear to be banded agate similar Cornelian, approx. 10 x 7 x 4 mm and depict Renaissance ladies with lace collars and ringlets, the Medici court and Mary Queen of Scots werebothpopular themesin Napoleon lll jewellery. The figures face each other as mirror images and are slightly different in minute handcarveddetail of hairstyle.
