Found in France, this lovely mirror is a study in aestheticdesign. The frame is a simple oval, witharound it a twisted rope motif and around that a continuous cord that is woundaround the piece in graceful swirls, embellished with bronze flower decorations.The actual mirror is original to the piece and has a beautiful bevel with small“teeth” ground into the bevel. It dates to the last quarter of the 19thcentury. The piece is in remarkable condition: there are some scratches to theglass and one of the small clips that holds the mirror backing in place isloose. No other flaws.

Measurements are: 11”by 7”, the mirror is 5 ¾” by 4 ¼”.
