See below for details!I am pleased to offer for your consideration an absolutely gorgeous Antique French Aubusson Tapestry Panel. This beautiful textile was completely woven by hand, taking weeks and possibly even months to complete. The weave is very, very fine at 23-24 EPI (weft ends per inch, meaning the Warp sett is 46-48 per inch).This means that for every inch, there are 46- 48 vertical, base warp threads. The weft (the horizontal threads that create the design) weaves over & under every warp thread, so there are 23-24 upward facing ends per inch, and 23- 24 reverse/underside facing ends per inch. The sides are the original finished selvages, and the warp/base threads upon which the horizontally woven design was woven through, runs vertically. It features Garlands of time worn blue Pansy Flowers on verdure sage vines with Scrolling elements framing the deep beige center. The center features a nude pink, wine red, rich merlot, & blush pink cabbage roses. The boarder is a warm brick red.I have researched this as best as I can, I have researched online, purchased books, but I am not positive if this is 18th Century or 19th CenturyAPPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS:

-23-24 EPI (ends per inch)The Condition is as pictured - this is a very old hand wiven, used piece of French textile history, so it is time worn & shows signs of age & wear. Overall it is still quite strong in my opinion, i have definitely had some that were weak & i would not say this is weak or excessively fragile. There are some frays along the edges, and some separations between woven lines, some soiling....expected for such an old textile.
