This charmingantique mantel clock is made in France around 1840.

Outstanding quality clock ismade of black marble and gilt bronze. Base is ornate with two Harpyiens.

Clock case is flanked by two darkpatinated figures of winged Cupids. Thatmakes this a much desired item which will perfectly fit every interior.

Bronze relief dial with blue Romanenamelled cartouches and black pointers has glass door cover in front.

The Frenchmovement is in good working condition chiming on the silvered bronze bell at1/1 and ½ hours.

The movement isstamped by the famous clock maker: Deniere a Paris

Movement makerstamp: Pons Medaille D’ OR 1827

Key and pendulum (replacement)included.

Some wear on thegilding due to the age.
