An early George lll solid silver cream jug which is hallmarked for London 1764.
Baluster shape with embossed decoration which I believe may have been added later.
A lovely early jug but it does have its foibles.
A repair has made to the handle of the jug, best seen from the inside. Without splits or holes and stands well but the base has had a knock to the rim. The scallop rim is fine but the spout is distorted. It would benefit from a further gentle clean.#Weight; 100g.
Still a very pretty little jug with more than 250 years of life.
