This is an absolutely superb antique George lll sterling silver teapot with matching stand. The teapot measures 11\" (28 cms) from handle to spout x 3 1/2\" (9 cms) x 5 1/2\" (14 cms) to the top of the lid and the tray measures 7 3/4\" (19.5 cms) x 4 3/4\" (12 cms). Both items have the silversmiths mark for Duncan Urquhart &Naphtali Hart and also show the George lll head - the stand is hallmarked for London 1795 and the teapot if 1796. The pot and stand are both engraved \'Eliz Dudden Benager\'.
