Sterling Silver Three Piece Tea Service – Art Nouveau Style - Antique George V

A fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver three piece tea service in the Art Nouveau style; an addition to our antique teaware collection

This fine antique George V sterling silver three piece tea set/service consists of a teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl.

Each piece of this fine set has been crafted in the Art Nouveau style with a circular compressed rounded form onto three hoof feet.

The surface of each piece has a planished finish.

The domed hinged hallmarked cover of the teapot retains the original bun shaped painted wood and silver finial.

This teapot is fitted with an impressive and original Art Nouveau style painted wood handle ornamented with a bifurcating sterling silver stylised scroll and tulip terminal.

The cream jug is embellished with pendant drop ornamentation to the nadir of the spout.

The antique cream jug and tri-handled sugar bowl are fitted with impressive sterling silver reed decorated angular handles; matching the wood handle to the teapot.

This antique Art Nouveau tea set was made by Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker, silversmiths working for Barker Brothers of Chester.

This fine sterling silver service is displayed on a tray for illustrative purposes only - view the complete collection of trays and salvers available at AC Silver.

Dear Mr Campbell Thank you very much for sending the pearl necklace: it arrived only a couple of days after purchase, beautifully wrapped and packaged, at 8.30am - so you have a first rate courier service! Could I also say how pleasant and how helpful the girl I spoke to on the telephone was. Her enthusiasm for the necklace, and for the quality of your products, decided me when I was not quite sure this was the item I wanted. Cheerfulness, enthusiasm and courtesy are not often encountered in this kind of call. It was a real pleasure!
So congratulations on your staff! Very best wishes TJ G
Cheriton Bishop, Exeter, UKDear Mr Campbell Making purchases from half way round the world is always an interesting experience. You do the best you can and hope. I can say, with no rear of contradiction, that my dealings with AC Silver and Andrew Campbell is certainly worthy of Front Bench status.
The two George III bottle neck rings were of the first quality, and thoroughly described and generously photographed. The transaction itself was smooth and without flaw. Packing and shipping were without incident and arrival was exactly on time.
It was the \'poster child\' for an ideal transaction. Thank you LG, Venerable Wine Paraphenalia,
