A lovely Georgian period miniature fob seal. Fully tested as 18ct gold ( unhalmarked as is usual for small period items of jewellery). Completed with natural pale lavender gemstone(probably amethyst) intaglio thistle . Beautifully chased and engraved workmanship in 18 ct yellow gold. A scarce and individual beautiful little fob for your collection of Georgian gems or lovely to wear as a charm too. The pale lavender intaglio carved thistle is a remarkable little work of art ( proving extremely hard to photo) in itself and typical of Scottish craftsmanship of the period.

Weights are all approx = 1.4 grams.

Dimensions approx 6/8 th inch tall X 3/8ths widest part of seal.
