Large, rare, and very beautiful Georgian silver dish ring / burner stand-- use with plate, tray, or bowl!

Supported midway between top and bottom isthe original elegant two-piece burner. The silver stand accommodates anoval dish; turn it over and the appropriate shape supports a round bowl or dish. Burner flips over to accommodate either side!(What won\'tthey think of next?).

The primary decoration, beyond the elegant form, is sharplydefined beaded edges, including around the lid of the burner. Abeautifully engraved crest of an eagle is on top and side of the burner.

Full hallmarks are struck on the base of the burner, andpartial ones, including the maker\'s mark, on the frame. The piece wasmade in London in 1790 by Henry Greenway.

Length is 13 inches, width is 9 inches,and height is 4 inches. The “round ring” is 9” diameter. Weight is 626 grams or 20 troy ounces.

The piece is in excellent condition, with no repairs or buffing. Great for a serving piece, or centerpiece display.
