Lovely antique sterling silver hinged bangle bracelet dated 1829 and engraved with the initials T. P.. The lady who I received this from said it belonged to her Great Great Grandmother Teckla Pell. The story goes that her father was Pell Von Pellenstein from Austria and the bracelet dated 1829 was believed to have been given to Teckla at her confirmation in the Catholic Church. Teckla is also said to have been involved with one of the Hapsburg Princes during her youth, but she was rejected by the family as not being of high enough stature for the Prince.

The bracelet measures 2 1/4\" x 1 7/8\" inside diameter and 3/8\" wide. Inside circumference is 6 1/4\". Total weight of the bracelet is 13.9 grams. Unmarked, but tested sterling silver. Looks like it may have had a gold wash on it at one time. In excellent gently used antique condition. May have been a repair made at the clasp at one time. Comes with a note that was written by the lady\'s mother about the details of her Great Great Grandmother.
