An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver two handled egg warmer made by Henry Chawner & Johnathan Emes; an addition to our diverse dining silverware collection

This exceptional antique George III English sterling silver two handled egg warmer has an oval form.

The body of the warmer is embellished with a broad band of bright cut engraved intertwined ribbon and leaf decoration around the upper border in addition to simplified bright cut engraved husk decoration to the lower portion.

Either side of the egg warmer is ornamented with a bright cut engraved wreath bordered vacant oval cartouche.

The upper rim of this impressive egg warmer is encompassed with a reed decorated border.

The egg warmer is fitted with two subtly domed hinged covers embellished with a bright cut engraved leaf decoration to the rim.

The central join of the covers incorporate the protruding handle of the original removable hallmarked egg holder.

The stem of the egg holder retains the original oval painted wood and silver finial/handpiece.

The original Georgian hallmarked egg receiver features a wirework frame designed to accommodate six eggs.

The oval base of the receiver is embellished with pierced floral motifs with a paralleling border of circular motifs in a hexafoil formation.

This body of this impressive egg warmer is fitted with two plain C scrolling handles.

This exceptional sterling silver egg warmer was crafted by the renowned silversmiths Henry Chawner & Johnathan Emes.

This antique George III egg warmer is a very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition

The bright cut engraved decoration is all very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks to the underside of the egg holder are all clear.
