This amazing ring is one of the oldest rings i\'ve ever laid my eyes upon. Not only that, it\'s in impeccable condition with no repairs in it\'s 215 year lifetime!

This ring comes from Austro Hungarian Austria before the split of the two modern day countries in the 19th Century. The ring is hallmarked with the Countries assay marks including a date mark on the bottom outside of the band, you will need a 20x jewelers loupe to read the stamp.

The stamp reads with a Fox Head hallmark which is the Austro Hungarian Hallmark guaranteeing gold purity for this period. The stamp also includes 585 for 14k Gold as well as two Roman Numerals for the Date Mark \"IC\". IC translates to 99 in Arabic Numerals. The Fox head hallmark stopped being used in 1862 by Austria, so we know this ring was made before 1862, the date hallmarks of IC which were legally required by the Austrian Government tell us 99 stands for 1799. The ring is also hallmarked with a \"K\" hallmark which stands for the particular city in Austria that this ring was assay\'ed and guaranteed at, this city is \"Laibach\".

All information to these hallmarks can be found in any world hallmark book. The ring itself is marked 585 for 14k gold however tests with an XRF-Spectrometer gun to be 18k gold. Jewelers during this period sometimes shot a little high or low when mixing the metals, in this case the ring is a little richer than the marking in gold purity!

This ring is made of solid Rose Gold and is very heavy in mass weight and is definitely not a dainty ring, most likely why it has survived 200+ years without any damage, this ring was built to last!

The stone is a very rare form of Coral called Salmon Coral. Salmon Coral is a beautiful lightly colored Reddish Orange Coral that is only found 200+ meters below the Oceans surface, which makes it very difficult to harvest, especially during the lateEighteenthcentury. The difficulty made this a very rare stone to obtain and only the richest of the rich could afford such luxurious jewelry such as this. The Coral is by far the biggest piece ofCabochoncut antique Salmon Coral that i have ever seen measuring over 16 mm in diameter and 10 mm tall! Undamaged and looks like it was harvested just yesterday!

All of the craftsmanship in this ring, from making the mounting to carving the coral would of been completely done by hand! This ring would of been made upon custom order and the jeweler would of spent months creating this masterpiece of jewelry! Beautiful Gold work going across the stone, this amazing ring truly does amaze one when thinking about the story\'s it could tell if it could talk!

Please don\'t miss out on this beautiful and amazing ring, you will never see another ring like this again. Truly a one of a kind master piece!

Ring box is for display purposes only!

*Due to the age of some of these pieces some items will not be stamped. The National Stamping Act was not enacted until 1906, before 1906 jewelry was not legally required to have a karat mark. This is one way to date items prior to the Art Nouveau time period.

XRF-Spectrometer Gun:All of our jewelry is verified and guaranteed though an x-ray florescent-spectrometer test. This test conducts and determines the exact alloy content within the metal without damaging the piece like scratch and acid testing. Please be aware if you take an item to be tested by a jeweler, jewelers use scratch testing and electronic testing. These methods are only accurate 50% of the time, these are cheap, ineffective, and damaging ways to test to gold purity of an item. The XRF requires specialized training in order to correctly read the results. This is a $25,000 piece of equipment and is extremely accurate. Rest assured that what you are receiving is 100% accurate.

Returns:No questions asked, no hassle, 14 days money back, buyer pays return shipping. Item(s) must be sent back in original condition. We are happy to assist your return postage if we made a gross error. If you plan to take your item to a jeweler please visit one with a specialized field in estate jewelry. Most jewelry stores work with new/modern designs and on rare occasion are asked about vintage items. Chain jewelers are NOT a reliable source to date a piece of jewelry unless they are specialized with estate items. Aumia sees more antique and vintage jewelry pieces in one day than the average jeweler sees in years. Please take your time to find a qualified, and reputable antique dealer if you would like a second opinion.

Payment:PayPal only. Payment must be received by the 3rdday of the closing sale date. Buyers with unpaid item cases will be blocked from future transactions with us. We are happy to accommodate extra time if needed; however, the buyer is required to ask of this prior to offerding. If payment is made on a Friday, the package will be mailed out the following Monday.

Shipping:Combined discounts available. Items over $500.00 will have complementary signature confirmation. Our Shipping rate is $9.25 an item unless buying multiple items, add 1.00 per item for multiple items bought for a discounted shipping rate. This also includes a Gift Box, bubble wrap, sometimes Packing Peanuts, Labels, USPS Shipping Charges, tape, insurance, and many other shipping supplies. About us: Chris and Alexis. We started out in the jewelry business knowing individuals who were in the smelting business. As we watched these smelters melting new, vintage, & antique 100+ year old jewelry for the metal value, we cringed!! We thought that there must be a way to save this special and once in a lifetime type of jewelry instead of melting these wonderful items.Well....the bright idea of selling these beautiful items smacked us in the face!We started buying small items such as rings, bracelets and necklaces from these smelters and selling these items to wonderful people who would appreciate them and cherish them for a lifetime.

After starting out small time, we started to go to Antique shops, estate sales, estate buy outs, smelters, sales, coin shows, or just about anywhere possible we could get our hands on these wonderful and beautiful jewelry items! We started to set up at trade shows and other events to sell to people. We eventually phased out the trade show atmosphere and started selling jewelry on ! I\'m glad we did, you can get just as much interaction with people over the internet as you can face to face. We love all of our customers and love the quick messages anybody likes to send our way! After starting to sell jewelry on we started our business called Aumia Gold & Silver Jewelry And Collectibles LLC, \"Aumia\" Is Golden Lady in Latin. We try to offer a variety of jewelry from Rings, Necklaces, Pendants, Brooch\'s, Gold & Silver. We also offer Native American Jewelry, Art Deco Jewelry, Victorian Jewelry, Antique Chinese Jewelry and so much more! We try to post a mix of each variety every week.

We found our niche! The success on has made this into our full time job. Because of our great loyal customers and new ones every day you are helping us provide our future and the large contributions we donate to our Rotary club to help eradicate polio and create women empowerment projects in Nepal. We both heavily believe in helping others and creating wonderful new opportunities internationally and domestically. Aumia has provided us our future and love towards our passion. We can’t see ourselves doing anything else. It is something new every day. We treat people with theutmostrespect and customer service is our main priority.
