Lovely Serene looking Antique German China Head Doll.
Covered Wagon hair style manufactured in Germanyin the mid 1800\'s.
She measures 18\" tall and is wearing a dress with apron from antique fabric thatis a floral type print on gray. The two tone dress has a black cotton skirt.Under her dress she has a cotton ecru half slip and a pair of ecru pantaloons.
Her body is firmly stuffed and she sits well. Her lower arms and boots aremade from leather and she has a pair of red stockings on her lower legs.The boots and lower arms have a lot of scuffing.
This doll has a wonderful shaped breast bodice shoulder plate, and that is whyher dress is low cut. She has a very high forehead with sausage curls beginningat her ears and around the back and sides of her head. I count 10 of them.There are some rubs on the back of her hair.
Her facial features are lovely and she has a very serene look to her. Her eyesare \"sleepy\" looking and there is dark eyeliner and a red accent above the lids.Nice Roman nose with nostril accents and a beautiful smile with turned upcorners. Her cheeks are generously blushed.
She is in Very Good Condition for her age. I see no chips, cracks or repairs toher head or shoulder plate. There is a tiny pepper spot under he right cheektoward her neck.
