I have for sale an antique doll. She is marked Germany R 415/0 R. I do not know who the maker is. She has apaper machebody and a socket head that confuses me. It looks like clay where the paint has come off but also may be composition?????? She has sleep eyes and an open mouth with 4 teeth. She is 8\" long until you place her wig on and then she is 8 1/2\" tall. She has what I believe is a hand made human hair wig. Inside the wig you can see the German paper the hair has been molded to. Originally the hair was glued on but I needed to remove it so when I ship the doll I can pack the head. This took off some of the paint. She has moveable arms and legs that are wired to the body. She clothing is made from a cheese cloth like material and she has a felt shawl. The clothing is held on with straight pins. There is a 12 written on the back of one leg in pencil and someone has taken adhesive tape and put it on with the writing Wales. Other then age appropriate wear, I feel she is in wonderful condition. There is a scratch on the back of her head that does not go through, and I did not try to remove any soiling on clothes or body. She is a wonderful old doll. Please view the photos for condition.
