Antique Dresden pressed cardboard lady slipper candy container ornament. Decorative embossing and underneath is embossed\"Germany\". These were used as Christmas ornaments, also for wedding and shower favors. The inside is crepe paper which would pull out to hold small candies or trinkets. Popular from late 1800\'s through the teens. This shoe is an ecru color, 3.5\" long, and actually is very good condition for the age, a bit of light wear. I have not tried to pull out the crepe paper inside, it is very old and delicate and I think it would probably tear or fall apart.
