An outstanding 1/2L German Occupational Beer Stein made for a butcher and engraved on the lid \"Hans Hufnagel 1900.\" Features late 19th Century butcher scene depicting the butchering of a cow, while the carcass of a hog hangs nearby and others work. The inscription on the stein translates to \"the world would come to an end before a butcherwould die of thirst.\"
This is a porcelain stein in excellent condition withminor wear to the paint of the bottom rim and slight wear to thepaint on the handle.
There is a lithophane in the bottom of the stein (see last photo) depicting two German men and a woman sitting at a table.
