Up for sale is an Antique Paper Mache & Plaster Open Mouth Rabbit German Anthropomorphic Dressed Rabbit Candy Container. The rabbit has amber eyes and his head removes to store treats. He is approx 6-1/2\" tall to the ear tip and is approx 2-1/2\" across the widest part of his body which would be the shoulder area. The rabbits arms move but the legs don\'t as he is glued to a cardboard base.He came of this base and was reglued back on. There was also composition grass around his feet that has worn away. The base is marked Germany on the bottom. There is some crazing on the cream part of his ear and a dot of color missing at the bottom of his mouth and on his nose. The clothes are original an hard to believe they survived as they are made of crepe paper. There is a hole in the back of the pants and some wear along the shirt edge. There may be old paint touch up in the back of the ears, not sure. I will be listing a large collection of German Rabbit Candy Containers so please check back.
