Antique German Porcelain China Doll;LOW BROW;Hertwig;unmarked but numbered#248. Looks to have all the characteristics of Hertig mold; Marion.I believe her to be 1890-1905. The doll body is muslin cloth; including arms, legs and feet, but the head/shoulders are china and are in superb condition! no chips, cracks or hairlines! (see photo details). She has the characteristic sleepy eyes; and they are light blue; rosy rouged cheeks; dark brown hair and low forehead. Shoesare cloth. She is wearing handmade 2 piece skirt and bodice top with black cut glass buttons. You can see all the hand stitching (see photo detail); and her teal blue hat is also handmade! Underneath she has a lace petticoat and white bloomers. She is12\" tall. A great doll to add to any collection! This is from a great RI estate that was filled with antique dolls that the elderly woman collected since childhood! I will be listing more! so check my future listings.
