Availble is an amazing, authentic very old Navajo weaving measuring 67\" x 45\". This weaving is very tightly woven Germantown weaving of well carded and finely spun wool with a weft to warp of 36/8. It is technically well executed and features an early Ganado storm patten stylization using off settiing and complimentry natural colored wool. In addition, the weaver incorporated three borders to frame the central design element. The weaving has lazy lines and a spirit line. Both sides are in very good condition showing only minimal age approprite wear. The colors are strong with no bleeding. There is evidence of some over dye fading on the black surfaces which assists in it\'s dating and is consistent with weavings of this era, (estimated circa 1890-1910). Three of the corner tassels are present the fourth is missing. However, all of the corners are tight and the selvage edges unbroken. There are no rips, tears stains or holes in this weaving. It is truly an amazing work both in color and style and a fine example of an early transitional period weaving,
