The weight of this antique, Gorham, Sterling Silver, Butter / Cheese Knife is 1.4 oz. It measures 7-7/8 inches in length and the blade is 1 inch wide. It is in the Corinthian Pattern 1872. It is marked with the maker mark for Gorham, sterling. It is engraved with the letter C on the top of the finial (see photo). The blade is bright-cut with a nouveau abstract pattern and the handle is accented with abstract nouveau floral raised motif on both sides.
In near pristine condition, fabulous addition to any contemporary table or a collection of outstanding American antique.
