Here is a rare sterling silver Gorham match safe circa 1898 from a high end estate. It has an enamel floral & foliate border. There are a couple small spots on the light blue pedals that have a scratch or dent to the enamel. The door doesn\'t seem to want to close all the way as seen in the pictures. For its age it looks to be in really good condition. It is marked with the Lion - Anchor - G and sterling. It is monogrammed with the letter W. Size is approximately 2 3/8\" north to south, and 1 3/4\" east to west. Total weight is 52.3 grams or 1.84oz. A great and hard to find piece for your collection.
