Antique Glass Harp, Harmonicon, Blown Glass, C. 1830s Music, Bizarre, Wine Glass:
$1750.00

This fantastic musical instrument came out of an estate in western Maine. With spots for 29 glasses, the set has a total of 24 hand blown Antique glasses with it. One has a missing foot, the others are clean. Each glass is ground to note, and etched at the base with the corresponding note. The Armonicon, designed by Ben Franklin is also known as Dry glasses, as you do not need to fill the with water to match the tone.

The carrying trays have some small missing wood bits, an easy restoration, and the Chest shows wear consistent with over 100 years of storage.

This piece, according to the family was crafted in the USA, and then the chest that they are in was designed for its journey overseas to Ireland where it was part of a group that played. It returned to the USA and was in storage in an estate for most of its life until recently.

I\'m happy to answer any questions regarding this wonderful museum quality piece.
