Listed is an early antique Greiner style doll, made by the Superior Doll Co.,circa 1876. This doll measures 13.5 inches and has a papier mache head with shoulder plateand a hard stuffed cloth body. The doll\'s head has a molded flat top high brow hair style with large curls in the back. The head/shoulder plate has no cracks however there is some wear to the finish/color on the doll\'s face & hair. (check pics)Her blue hand painted eyes remain bright. Her cloth stuffed body is clean and solid with no stains or breaks. The body style has the small waist with larger hips. The doll has her original leather arms/hands with individual fingers. The hands/arms are complete however they do show some wear and discoloration. (sheis wearinga small bracelet on her left arm) There is an adorable pair of soft leather shoes attached to her feet. They are complete and in good condition. The doll is wearing her original hand sewn clothing consisting of a long cotton dress with lace trim, full slip, half slip, pantaloons and shoes. The clothing is in excellent original condition and are sewn in the backon her body. There are no breaks in the fabric and they are clean. The original paper label which is printed Superior,is on the back of her cloth body. (check last pic) This doll is clean and comes from a nonsmoking home. This is a lovely old antique doll that is in very nice original condition, showing some wear to her facial and hair finish. Buyer pays ship/ins. I will ship international.
