About Charms

Sterling puffy hearts can be Victorian, 1940\'s 1970\'s or even 1990\'s and classification is not a perfect art. I focus on the crispness of details, design and shape but even experts agree it is difficult. All my puffy hearts were originally on bracelets and removed to sell individually.

Vintage charms may be rhodium plated. Thesesterlingcharms may attract magnet due to a layer of nickel between sterling & rhodium.

Rhodiumisamore expensive metal than sterling & is used to reduce tarnishing. Rhodium plating began in 1920\'s & grew quickly in popularity by mid 1930\'s.

ForBritishsterling silvercharms under 7.78 g hallmarks are no longer required.
