Patentedby Jonathan J. Hoyt of Chelmsford, Mass. this is a cast glass center draft lamp font. Included in the sale is the cast iron base that it mounts to. The base has been drilled three times. There may have been a gasket at the point of union between the font and the base. When threaded together, there remains a gap about 1/4 inch wide. When converted to elec. they ran the wire up through the air tube and caused no damage to the font. All threads, plaster and materials are original and fine. Patent info is located on the burner collar (#2 thread) and on the bottom of the font cast into the glass. Original filler cap. Total height is 10 inches to the top of the collar.
