Up for offer we have an absolutely beautiful antique hand painted Russian Vladimirskaya icon with a handmade brass oklad. This is a 19th century piece featuring the Virgin of Vladimir holding a young Christ in her arms. The scene is hand painted on wood, covered by the oklad, and backed with a purple felt/velvet type of fabric. As you may expect with a piece this old, there are a few condition issues, all of which are visible in the photos. This piece has never been restored or altered and measures at roughly 5.75\" x 7\" (14 x 18cm). I have described and shown this piece as accurately as possible.
