Antique Huge Lot Art Picture Frames Paintings Prints Signed Vintage German (11)I am not an expert with prints, paintings, art, or frames so I have no idea where these are from but I will do my best to describe everything. Please see all photos for condition.
I received this lot from my older neighbors who moved out of their house and tried to do some research but it is just too difficult for me to find anything. I know this stuff is really old and there could be a hidden gem in here but I have no avenue to figure this out. Therefore, I am selling it as a huge lot to some lucky person who knows more than I do. I will do my best to package everything nicely so there is no damage in transit. I am offering free shipping on this via a parcel shipment.
Below is each piece described individually in order of the way the photos are shown in the listing.1. Largest frame - \"The Return From Calvary\" - approx 26\" x 32.5\" - Appears to be a print - frame has moderate wear and appears to be wood - Virgin Mother - Bottom left has Herbert Schmalz signature2. Second largest frame - approx 24\" x 18.5\" - Appears to be a print or painting - Frame is wood with metal or brass leaves - This one appears to be very old and has wear to show it - It looks like a Civil War scene but all language appears to be German - Bottom says Thomas Nowach and picture has more German \"Berlin Schonhauser Alice 60\"3. Medium frame - 12\" x 14\" - Appears to be painting or print - frame is wood - Front and back parts of the frame have moderate wear and some paper is peeling - Picture is of a young boy - I see no markings on print but back of the frame says some German and also (Berlin) No 33364. Medium frame - approx 13\" x 10\" - Appears to be a print - Frame is wood - The back has some peeling to the paper - Appears old - Appears to be a middle Eastern battle scene - Bottom right is signed \"as Schreyer\"5. Paper and cardboard Etching - approx 8.5\" x 6.5\" - Etching that folds open for paper calendar - Picture of 4 dogs - Bottom says \"A fuzzy foursome - An Etching by G.O. Lewis G.B. Co - inside says \"Carrier\'s Greeting Milwaukee Journal 1933\" and has a 1933 paper calendar - The cardboard has some damage to corners but the etching and paper is in good shape with age wear.6. Medium frame - approx 15\" x 12\" - Appears to be an odd art piece where top layer is dark black and white and then there is a layer inside that has all the colors and appears to be a foil or something - Frame is wood - There is age wear and backside has paper peeling - There are no markings that I can see but this appears old and some sort of artwork - This one is of a man kissing a woman\'s hand with European clothing.7. Medium frame - approx 15\" x 12\" - This is the same as #6 above in every way only the picture is of a family walking in European clothing. I see no markings on this either8. Medium frame - 12\" x 9.5\" - Appears to be a watercolor or print of Abstract Art - Frame is wood and better shape than the rest - Bottom is signed by Ransom Eng 1976 - and back says the same thing with #2839. Smaller frame - approx 7.5\" x 7\" - Appears to be a print of a lady and a large ornate frame - Frame is a ceramic type material and there is some felt around the photo - Photo is surrounded by glass - No markings on the photo but the reverse side says \"A Cameo Creation\" and \"Lady Sheffield by Thomas Gainsborough\" - This appears to be pretty old10. Smaller frame - approx 7.5\" x 7\" - This is the same as #9 above in every way only the picture is of a different lady and the back says \"Elizabeth, Duchess of Devonshire by Sir Joshua Reynolds\"11. Smaller frame - approx 9\" x 6\" - Appears to be a drawing or painting right on the wood and blends into the entire wood frame - This one appears to be very old and the wood has some cracking and some minor damage spots - The photo is a female adult holding a rather large child and what appears to be a spirit looking on - I see no markings on the front but the back says \"From the Conrad Schmitt Studios 1707 Grand Avenue Milwaukee, WI\"
