I have for sale an authentic tsarist Nicholas 2 Russian dagger/dirk. This is a st Anna medal version. This example is rare. It has a small st Anna medallion and the words for bravery written in Russian. I have been told that when someone was given a st Anna medal it was so prestigious that they liked to display a smaller version on their weapons, like daggers and swords. The handle is marked with NII for Tsar Nicholas 2 and a two headed eagle. The blade has a mark for the factory where it was made and has a small two headed eagle and reads zlatoyst oryzheinnaya fabrika. This dagger is a great example of pre- revolutionary era Russian weapon and is in original condition. The leather on the scabbard is dry and shows signs of wear, this dagger was used by an actual officer in the tsarist army.
