Offering a superb Antique Fireback. Cast Iron. French. Decorative finely cast Egyptian Winged Women Sphinxes. Central \"Olympic\" Torch/Flame. Top laurel wreath. 18th -- early 19 th c. (earlier?) Sphinxes-- important in 18th French and Napoleonic Art.

Approx. measurements. 23 3/4\" by 23 3/4\" by 3/8\"

In very good antique condition. Front is black. No cracks. Back shows some oxidation/discoloration.

VERY Heavy.

Once the item is purchased, it will be shipped promptly within three business days of receiving cleared payment.

We generally ship USPS Priority Mail, Parcel Post or Fed Ex. If the item fits in a Manila envelope, it will be shipped First Class.

We wrap all our items very carefully. If items are damaged in transit, we will provide the necessary paperwork for the buyer to file a claim. In order for a claim to be filed, buyer must keep all original packaging and take photos of the damaged item(s).
