You are purchasingan antiqueItalian made dancingnymphs / cherubs black velveteenpurse. Inside tag reads MADE IN ITALY. The lining and braid stitching appear to be silk. Lining is in excellent condition.Inside there is one pocket. Classic black velvet strip in overall excellent condition!

Gold area appears to be plated and is is super overall condition.The purse measures approx. 9 1/4\" from the clasp top to the bottom and is 7 1/4\" at the widest point. The chain strap length is 15\".

One chain loop that attached topurse hasthe gold plating worn as shown. Otherwise the chain is in excellent condition. There is a slight separation in the metal at one of the clasps as shown. You may find some very light fray at the end of some of the braids. None of which take away from the use or unique display of the piece.

This is from the estate of family member who we believe pursed it on a tripabroadbetween 1930 and 1940. Her taste in quality was impeccable.
