A rare to find find motif of a fish in a netsuke. This piece is gorgeous and a top quality authentic netsuke, with fine hand carving and \"tea\" stained an old method for coloring netsukes. A purchase from a collector in the US many years ago. It is signed on the back but i do not read Japanese or know the artist.. It has no injuries as far as chips or cracks. The himotoshi are on the back and the patina is beautiful. A nice heavy type netsuke. This is an authentic artist made and not a \"tourist item\" or fake netsuke.
