This lovely Japanese Cloisonné Vase is believed to be from the Meiji/Taisho Period (1868-1926). Unsigned, it stands 9-1/2 inches tall, and is approximately 4-1/4 inches diameter at its widest point, and comes witha handcarved wooden base. A point of interest on the vase is the expanse of enamel unsupported by wires in the neck area. Save for a small chip in the cloisonné at the very top, just under the rim, and a small dent in the brass base that does not impact the cloisonné, this piece is in very good condition (see photos).
