Antique Japanese Satsuma Vase Meiji Period (1868-1912) 6\" Signed Shimazu Family:
$195.00

I am pleased to offer an antique Japanese Satsuma Meiji period vase. On a deep cobalt blue are two panels on opposite sides. Twenty Geisha in a beautiful garden setting with wisteria trees are on one side. Nineteen men against the backdrop of Mount Fuji are on the opposite side. Each scene is highly detailed with gold gilt over crackled polychrome enamel. The vase is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, minor wear to the gold on the cobalt portion typical with age. This is Satsuma pottery, not the newer reproduction porcelain. Please view all the photos for a full description. Signed with the Shimazu family crest.

Measurements: 6\" (15cm) tall x 3 3/4\" (9.5cm) at the widest point. The base is 2 1/2\" wide, the top opening is 1 3/4\" wide.

Pay Pal only within 48 hours. Your vase will be packed with care and shipped on the same or next day on weekdays.
